  • Besan 2 cups

  • Oil 1/2 cup

  • Water 1/2 cup

  • Carom seeds 1/2tsp.

  • Salt 1 tsp +1/4 tsp.

  • Hing ( asafoetida) 1/2 tsp.

  • Oil for frying 3 cups


  • In a bowl take oil water hing salt carrom seeds n whisk it till mixture becomes opaque or slight fluffy.
  • You can mix with hands or whisk.
  • Then add besan little at a time by mixing it continuously.
  • Consistency should be medium.
  • Heat oil for frying in a big pan.
  • Keep a greased jhara on the pan and put 2 tbsp of batter on it.
  • Press with hand and make ganthiya.
  • Fry on little medium flame n drain.
  • Cool ganthiya and store in air tight container for 15 days or more .
