Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 500 gms rohu/katla fish


  • 6 nos potatoes


  • 2 nos chopped onions


  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic


  • 1 tbsp chopped green chilies


  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder


  • 1/4 cups fried ground nuts


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1 cups refined oil


  • 1 cups for outer coating : bread crumbs


  • 4 nos egg whites

Directions

  • Boil the fish and potatoes together in a pressure cooker, cool and mash them together, add some salt and mix. make sure that there are no fish bones in it. Keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic and chillies. Once they start smelling, add the chopped onions.
  • Fry till golden brown and add the ginger garlic paste and masalas. Add the mashed potato - fish mixture. Cook till done.
  • Add the fried groundnuts and cool the mixture.
  • Shape the mixture into small patties. Coat them with egg whites and bread crumbs. Deep fry them in hot oil to serve.
