Ingredients

Serves : 11
  • 2 litre full cream milk


  • 2 nos lemons


  • 1/3 cups powdered sugar


  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder


  • 1 tsp chopped pistachios

Directions

  • Boil the milk in a pan and let it cool for 5 mins.
  • Add some lemon juice to the milk till the milk curdles and whey separates.
  • Sieve the chhena in a cloth and wash with water well to remove the smell of lemon.
  • Put the chhena in a plate,add powdered sugar and cardamom powder and then knead it well for 10 mins till smooth.
  • After the mix is smooth, put it in a non stick pan and saute it for 4-5 minutes to remove the raw smell of chhena.
  • Take it out again in plate and let it cool a little. Knead it lightly and make into small balls and flatten them a little.
  • Garnish with chopped pistachios and serve them cold.
