Ingredients

Serves 8

  • cinamon stick 1 inch

  • cloves 7-8 nos

  • green cardamoms 4 nos

  • black cardamom 1 nos

  • coriander seeds 2 tbsp

  • cumin seeds 1 tbsp

  • fennel seeds 1 tsp

  • black pepper corns 8-10 nos

  • white sesame seeds 1 tbsp

  • dried coconut 1/3 cups

  • dry red chillies 8-10 nos

Directions

  • 01

    in a heavy bottomed pan, roast all the listed ingrediants on low flame until you can get aromatic smell coming from the spices

    once roasted, transfer to a bowl and allow it to cool slightly

  • 03

    once the roasted spices cools down blend this to a fine powder

  • 04

    kolhapuri masala is ready to be used in the various curry dishes
