Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 3 nos tomatoes chopped(medium sized)


  • 1 nos big onion(finely chopped)


  • 100 gms shallots((small onions) peeled and sliced)


  • 10-15 nos red chillies round(preferably gundu milagai)


  • 1 tsp tamarind paste


  • 3-4 sprig curry leaves


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1 tbsp urad dal


  • 2-3 tbsp oil


  • 1 tsp salt some to taste

Directions

  • Grind tomato, onions,shallots, tamarind, red chilies and salt to a fine paste.
  • Add oil in a kadai, when its hot splutter mustard seeds, urad dal ,curry leaves and finally the tomato mixture and stir well.
  • Saute it till the paste is cooked and the mixture thickens.
  • Serve hot with idlis,dosais etc
