Ingredients

Serves 5

  • Grated coconut 1 cups

  • Pearl Onions 3-4 nos

  • Dried red chillies 4-5 nos

  • Curry Leaves 1 sprig

  • garlic 1-2 nos

  • Ginger small piece(cut this into small pieces for ease while grinding) 1 nos

  • Tamarind - small gooseberry size 1 nos

  • Salt 1 pinch

  • Cooking Oil 150 ml

Directions

    Make oil hot in a frying pan and the items listed under B. Stir and fry for a few minutes. Then add the grated coconut, switch off the flame after a few minutes.

    Leave it to cool.

    Grind the above mixture with tamarind and salt. It is coarsely ground, without water and not for long time.

  • 04

    Remove from mixer/ grinder, drip a little oil, mix and serve with rice.
