Ingredients

Serves 1

  • Medium sized beetroot 1 nos

  • Small potatoes (cleaned and diced) 2 nos

  • onion 1 nos

  • Garlic,sliced 2-3 nos

  • Green Chilly 1-2 nos

  • Curry Leaves 4-5 nos

  • Salt 1 tsp

  • Oil 1/2 cups

Directions

    In a frying pan, saut? curry leaves, onion, garlic and then slit green chillies.

    Add the potato pieces, sprinkle water and salt, cover and cook for a few minutes. Add the beetroot pieces! Stir and cook covered. When these are almost done, remove the lid and fry in high flame for a few minutes. You can sprinkle some red chilly powder if you like it spicy.

    A perfect accompaniment with rice, curd (and papad).
