Ivy gourd/ Tindora/Kovakka Stir fry

Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 250 gms kovakka/ ivy gourd / tindora


  • 1 nos onion


  • 4 nos green chilies


  • 1 tbsp coconut oil


  • 1/4 cups coconut pieces


  • 2 sprig curry leaves


  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

  • Cut the ivy gourd into thin strips. Slit the green chilies and slice onion.
  • Heat coconut oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, when it crackles, add curry leaves.
  • Now add the cut strips of ivy guord, green chilies, sliced onions and coconut pieces. Fry on high flame for 5 mins and then cover and cook on low flame for 2 -3 minutes
  • Cover and let it cook on low flame for few minutes (stir in between).. Until everthing turns slight crispy...
  • Kovakka mezhukkupuratti / Ivy gourd strir fry is ready
