A malayali breakfast dish typically made with rice powder but this one's made with atta/wheat for less calories! My mom makes it best :)

Ingredients

Serves : 1 serving
  • 1 Cup atta/wheat


  • water


  • 3 Tablespoons grated coconut

Directions

  • Take the wheat flour, grated coconut, salt and sprinkle water and knead it to a coarse texture, slowly adding water little by little.
  • Take a puttu kutti (cylindrical stand) or a cheratta puttu stand and add alternate layers of grated coconut and the mix in step 1 and fill it to the brim.
  • steam it for 8-10 minutes and serve hot.
