Add salt and half of the grated coconut to 3 tbsp of water
Mix well
Then to this add wheat flour and mix well with ur hand
The mixture should be just wet or moistened
Whole wheat flour should not be dry but wet enough for steaming
Close and keep aside for 10 minutes
I used to steam puttu using a small cooker
So boil water in the cooker ,close the lid but don't put weight
Wait for the steam to come
Then in the puttu mould add 1 tbsp of grated coconut ,in the top of that add wet what flour mix..(don't press the flour tightly ,just fill it..thts all)
Close the mould and place in the nozzle of the cooker and allow to cook for minimum 10 minutes
Serve hot with banana ,kadala curry ,sugar …
