Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 2 Big Onions


  • 10 cloves of Garlic


  • Lemon Grass 1 stalk


  • Ginger 2 inch


  • Turmeric 2 inch


  • Chilli Paste 3 to 4 spoons


  • Salt 1 tsp


  • Tamarind Paste 2 tbsp


  • Vietnamese Coriander 7 to 10 leaves


  • 6 pcs Chicken Drumsticks


  • Water 2 to 3 cups


  • Sugar 1 tbsp


  • Cooking Oil 3 to 4 tbsp

Directions

  • Puree chilli paste, garlic, onions, turmeric and ginger.
  • Heat the pot and put cooking oil. Once it starts to spit, add lemon grass stalk and stir for a few seconds then add the puree.
  • Once it starts to spit, add the chicken and stir til its coated.
  • Dissolve the tamarind paste in a cup of water then pour in the pot. Add the vietnamese coriander. Add another cup of water or til all chicken are submerged. Let it boil til the chicken cooks and soften.
  • Add salt, sugar and pepper according to preference. Add more water if needed.
