Firstly in a pan dry roast whole red chillies, black peppercorns, coriander seeds, jeera ,urad dal, chana dal for 5-7 mins.
Let it cool and grind it and make a coarse powder
Add Kashmiri chilli powder to masala and mix well
Chop the potatoes and onions and keep aside.
Take a pan and add oil and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, chopped onions and cook till colour changes.
Add chopped potatoes, salt and 3tbsp of grounded masala and mix well and cook on medium flame for 5 mins
Serve hot with Roti or Naan.
