Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cups cheera chopped


  • 20 nos jack fruit seeds (chakkakuru)


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 nos onion


  • 6 nos dried red chilly


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1/2 tsp dal


  • 3 tsp coconut oil


  • 1 tsp salt to taste

Directions

  • Boil the cleaned chopped chakka kuru with salt and turmeric powder in water and cook for 10 minutes .then keep aside
  • Heat coconut oil in a pan and add mustard seeds,dal and curry leaves. Once the mustard seeds start to splutter, add dried red chillies
  • Add finely chopped onion and saute well
  • Add the chopped cheera and salt into it. Cover it with a lid and cook on a low flame for 3 minutes.
  • Open the lid and add cooked chakkakuru into it and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes till it gets dry. Switch off the flame.
