Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1 bunch of spinach


  • 2 onions


  • 2 tomatoes


  • 1 green chilli finely chopped


  • 1 tbsp grated ginger


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 2 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/4 tsp haldi powder


  • 1/2 tsp jeera powder


  • 1/8 tsp asafetida


  • 3 tbsp malai ( cream of milk)


  • 1/4 tsp garam masala powder


  • 2 tbsp oil

Directions

  • Wash and finely chop the spinach leaves
  • In a pan take 1 tbsp oil and saute the spinach for 4-5 mins.
  • In the same pan take 1 tbsp oil and add asafetida, jeera,grated ginger and finely chopped onions and saute till slightly browned.
  • Add finely chopped tomatoes , haldi powder, jeera powder,, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, and salt and cook on low flame till tomatoes are soft.
  • Add malai and spinach and cook for 5-7 mins .It will start releasing oil.
  • Off the gas.
  • Serve hot with Roti or Paratha.
