Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 kgs whole chicken


  • 1 tbsp chilly powder


  • 1 tbsp coriander powder


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp garam masala


  • 1 tsp pepper powder


  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1 tbsp chilli flakes


  • 1 tsp lime juice


  • 1 tsp oil


  • 1 tsp salt to taste

Directions

  • Make masala by mixing all the ingredients.add water if needed to make it a paste consistency.
  • Make cuts on the properly cleaned chicken and apply the paste of masala all around.let it rest for around 10 minutes
  • Prepare the place to cook by covering with banana leaves and a bamboo stick placed on the centre.
  • Stick the chicken on the bamboo and tie tightly with a thread
  • Cover the chicken with a bucket
  • Cover the bucket with firewood and set flame.
  • Let the chicken cook for around 10 to 15 minutes
  • Put out the flame . After 5 minutes Carefully remove the bucket and take the chicken out to serve
