Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 1 kgs mutton (with bones)


  • 2 nos onions (chopped)


  • 6 nos tomatoes (chopped)


  • 1 nos zucchini (thick slices


  • 1/2 nos cauliflower (florets)


  • 1/2 nos brocolli (florets)


  • 1 nos carrot (thick slices)


  • 1 cups peas


  • 1 nos cinnamon stick


  • 1 1/2 tsp salt


  • 1 tsp blackpepper (freshly crushed)


  • 3 nos green chillies (chopped)


  • 3 nos garlic cloves (pounded coarsely)


  • 1/4 nos ginger (chopped)


  • 2 tbsp vinegar


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp basil (chooped)


  • 1/2 tsp rosemary (chopped)


  • 1/2 tsp parsely (chopped)


  • 3 cups dough: all purpose flour (maida)


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1 tsp sugar


  • 1 tsp yeast


  • 2 tsp baking powder


  • 4 tsp oil


  • 1/2 cups milk (for binding)


  • 1/2 cups water (for binding)

Directions

  • Marinate Meat In Salt, Vinegar And Turmeric Powder (If You Are Cooking The Mutton In The Pie Need To Marinate Overnight Adding Tenderiser
  • In A Bowl Put Flour And All The Rest Of Ingredients Except Milk And Water, Mix Well
  • Now Add Milk And Mix, Then Add Little Water At A Time To Bind The Dough To Soft And Smooth Dough
  • Cover The Dough And Let It Rise
  • In Pressure Cooker Put Two Tablespoon Of Oil And Braise Onions To Pinkish Color
  • Add Mutton Pieces, Cinnamon Stick And Mix Well Add Little Water And Let It Cook Till Tender, Remove Lid And Dry If There Is Water Can Add Peas Now So It Cooks As Well
  • n A Big Wok Add Two Tablespoon Of Oil Keep On Flame As Oil Heats Up Add Garlic And Ginger
  • Then Add Tomatoes, Veggies, Green Chillies And Salt, Braise For Five Minutes Add Mutton Pieces With Peas And Black Pepper Mix Well, Remove From Flame Add Herbs And Mix Well, Let It Cool Down
  • Grease Three Round Trays Or Pot Lids
  • Make Six Portions Of The Dough And Roll Them Into Round Rotis
  • Place A Roti On The Tray Use One Third Of The Mutton Gravy And Put On It
  • Cover With The Other Roti And Seal The Sides, Glaze With Beaten Egg And Sprinkle Nigella Seeds Or Black Sesame
  • Bake In Oven On 200 C Till Top Is Browned Up NB: Actually This Pie Is Blown Air Before Putting In Oven, Today I Skipped This.. When Sealing The Pie You Put Three Straws In One Side Lying Close By, Seal The Rest Of The Side.. Blow Air Via Straw And Remove The Straw And Seal Fast, It Looks Like Semi Balloon
