Ingredients

  • 1 cup-cashew


  • 1/2 cup-suger


  • 5-6 tsp-water


  • 1 tbsp-ghee


  • 1-2 sheet-Silver berq

Directions

  • 1-powderd the cashew in a grinder. The cashew nuts should be in powderd form not become oilly.
  • 2-on a low flame heat Suger and water in a thick bottomed pan.
  • 3-meanwhile grease a plate and keep aside. Keep butter paper ready too.
  • 4-when all the Suger dissolved in water make one thread consistency syrup. In this stage add the cashew powder.
  • 5- stir and keep on stirring the cashew mixture on a low flame. The cashew mixture would start thickening. Cook the cashew mixture approx.7-9 minutes till the whole mixture starts to come together.
  • 6-Remove the whole mixture of cashew from the pan and place it on greased plate.
  • 7-flatten the cashew katli dough and place a butter paper on top and roll gently with the help of rolling pin. Roll gently the dough from all sides till you reach a thickness of 3-5 mm in the dough.
  • 8-Remove the butter paper and let the cashew katli completely cool down. Apply silver berq on top. Using a sharp knife cut the cashew katli in diamond shape.
  • 9-gently remove the katli with a butter knife and keep it in airtight container.
