  • 1 cup green moong dal

  • 1 tbsp grated ginger

  • 3-4 green chillies

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1tsp garam masala

  • 1/8 tsp hing

  • 1 tsp jeera

  • 3 tbsp oil


  • Wash and soak the dal for atleast 4 hrs.
  • Drain the water and wash the dal again and starin the water completely.
  • Add the soaked dal, ginger, green chillies to a grinder . Grind half of the batter to a smooth paste and half to a coarse paste. Do not add water.
  • Add salt, jeera, coriander powder, garam masala, hing and mix well.
  • Take an appe pan. Grease it with oil and pour a spoonful of batter and cook on medium flame. Once cooked flip and cook from other side too till nice golden in colour.
  • Serve hot with chutney of ur choice or tomato ketchup.
