Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 bowl rosted otas


  • 1/2 cup semolina


  • 1 onion finely chopped


  • 1 tomato finely chopped


  • 1/2 capsicum finely chopped


  • 1 tsp green chilli


  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds


  • as needed fresh curry leaves( 1 spring bunches )


  • 1 cup beaten curd


  • 1 tsp baking powder or fruit salt


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tbsp finely chopped green coriander leaves


  • 2 tsp cooking oil


  • As needed water 1/2cup


  • To taste salt ( 1tsp )

Directions

  • Firstly take a otas dry roast 3 or 4 min and blend it make a fine paste keep it aside.
  • Meanwhile grease the idli mould with some oil or ghee.
  • Heat the tdka pan with 1tsp mustard oil add cumin, green chilli crinkle once keep it aside.
  • Now take a large mixing bowl put all given ingredients except oil and pour the tdka add some little water mix it properly with spoon make a smooth consistency batter cover and rest for 30 min keep it aside.
  • Now heat the steamer take idli mould pour the prepared batter and steam for 10 to 12 min on medium flame.
  • Now turn off the flame and cool it then demould and serve with green chutney or coconut chutney
  • Now it is done.
