In a large pan or kadhai, heat a tablespoon of butter and a tablespoon of oil. Add Chopped tomatoes and saute it until it soften. Add unchopped green chillies and Chopped half ginger. Add turmeric, salt, garam masala, curd. Saute it and Cover and cook till the tomatoes start breaking down and the mixture starts leaving oil at the edges
Now add onions to the mixture and saute it till the onions blend in and becomes soft. Add ghee as per taste and cook for 1 or 2 minutes.
Add 1/2 cup water and pepper powder and cook for another 1 or 2 minutes.
Now add Chopped paneer and mix gently the curry comes to a boil. Close the lid and cook for 5 to 7 minutes on medium flame.
Your mouth watering simple Paneer masala is ready. You may juice in lemon as per taste.
