Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 6 nos bread slices, whole wheat


  • 1 cups rava / semolina / sooji


  • 1/2 cups curd


  • 1 nos green chilli finely chopped


  • 1/2 cups water


  • 1/2 cups onions, finely chopped


  • 1/2 cups tomato, finely chopped


  • 2 tbsp capsicum, red & green finely chopped


  • 2 tbsp carrot, grated


  • 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped


  • 1/2 tsp sugar(optional)


  • 1/2 tsp salt to taste


  • 2 tsp peri peri sauce


  • 2 tsp butter or oil for roasting

Directions

  • In a mixing bowl take Rava, curd and water and combine all the ingredients well to make a lump free batter.
  • Add green chilli, onions, tomatoes , capsicum, grated carrot and coriander leaves
  • Add sugar and salt to taste and mix well
  • Let the batter rest for 15 minutes or till rava turns soft.
  • Now spread peri peri sauce on a bread slice, followed by prepared rava batter.
  • Place the bread over hot and greased tawa.
  • Also spread butter or oil on the other side of the bread.
  • Once the rava side bread roasts well, turn over and roast the butter side bread on medium heat, till it turns golden and crisp.
  • Repeat the same steps for other bread slices.
  • Finally cut the rava toast and serve the crispy Rava Open Toast Sandwich with tomato ketchup or peri peri sauce
