  • 250g mankochu ( taro root )

  • 10g garlic

  • 6pc green chillie

  • 1pc lemon

  • 25g coriander leaves

  • 100g besan

  • 100g rice powder

  • 1/2tbs baking soda

  • 1tbs salt

  • 1/2 tbs turmeric powder

  • 1/2 black cumin( gota jeera)

  • 200g refined oil


  • Boil the mankochu with salt
  • Then marinate the boiled mankochu with garlic paste, chillie paste , lemon juice, salt, turmeric powder , cumin seeds for 2hrs
  • Then mix in a different bowl: besan, rice powder, baking soda, salt, turmeric powder and coriander leaves and water to make a paste
  • Now heat the oil and dip the mankochu in the paste and deep fry
  • Now serve with preferable sauce
