Strawberry Ice Cream : Mix chopped strawberries with 1/2 cup sugar in a medium sized bowl. Allow to set for about 15 minutes so strawberries release their juices.
Blend strawberries up in a blender or food processor.
In a large bowl combine strawberry mixture with heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, and remaining sugar. Set aside
Pour strawberry cream mixture into prepared ice cream maker. Allow to run according to manufactures instructions (Mine is about 30 minutes.)
Vanila Ice cream :In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream and the half and half. Gradually whisk in the sugar until blended.
Whisk in the vanilla. Refrigerate, covered, until very cold, at least 3 hours
Whisk the mixture to blend and pour into the canister of an ice cream maker
Pistachio Ice Cream : In a medium mixing bowl combine together all the ingredients except the pistachios and pour into the freezer bowl and follow the manufacturer’s directions to make the ice cream.
Mine took about 25 minutes to thicken. Add the pistachios then and let the machine run for another 5 minutes.
scoop three ice creams in a glass , add nuts and strawberry sause and serve.
