Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 90 gms for red velvet cake : all purpose flour


  • 4 gms cacao powder


  • 1/2 tsp baking soda


  • 1/2 tsp baking powder


  • 100 gms sugar powdered


  • 1/2 cups milk


  • 1/4 cups malai


  • 1 tsp red gel colour


  • 1 tsp red velvet essence


  • 150 gms for vanilla cake : all purpose flour


  • 1 tbsp baking powder


  • 1 tsp baking soda


  • 1 tsp vanilla essence


  • 1/2 cups powdered sugar


  • 1/2 cups milk powder


  • 1 cups milk


  • 2 tbsp oil

Directions

  • Sieve all dry ingredients for red velvet cake.
  • In a bowl add malai, powdered sugar and milk whisk until sugar dissolves.
  • Add red velvet essence and red gel colour.
  • Now add dry ingredients into it and mix with cut and fold method.
  • Grease a baking tin with oil and pour the batter in it.
  • Bake it on 180° c for 20 minutes in preheated oven.
  • Let it cool completely.
  • Cut the heart shape pieces in it.
  • For vanilla cake - In a bowl add all dry ingredients.
  • Now add vanilla essence, oil, milk and mix properly.
  • Grease a loaf tin with oil and preheat the oven at 180°c for 10 minutes.
  • Arrange red velvet cake heart shapes in a greased loaf tin as like shown in picture.
  • Pour the vanilla batter on it and slightly tap it.
  • Bake at 180°c for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes cool completely and cut the pieces.
