Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 4-5 bread slices


  • 1 and 1/2 cup milk


  • 1/2 cup sugar


  • 1 spoon custard powder


  • 1/2 vanilla essence


  • 1 spoon ghee


  • For caremal - 1/4 cup sugar


  • 2 spoon water

Directions

  • In a pan heat sugar and water. Once the sugar turns golden brown remove from heat and pour into greesed steaming pot.
  • Heat milk and sugar in a pan. Now makes liquid of the custard powder by adding little milk and add it to the milk.
  • Mix well without any lumlps and switch off the flame.
  • Cut the bread slices into small pieces and add into hot milk. Add vanilla essence and whisk until smooth texture.
  • Pour into the custard mixture over the caremal mixture. Cover the tin with aluminum foil.Poke some holes in it and steam it in a steamer for 30 minutes.
  • Cool and refrigerate the pudding .
  • Enjoy the caremal bread pudding.
