Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • For making jelly- 1 cup china grass


  • 2 oranges


  • 1 cup water


  • 2 pinch orange food colour


  • For making cake- 1 cup butter


  • 2 cup all purpose flour


  • 1.5 cup sugar


  • 2 tsp baking powder


  • 1/2 tsp baking soda


  • 11/4 cup curd


  • 4-5 drops vanilla essence


  • 1/4 tsp green food colour


  • 1 pinch of salt


  • 2 tbsp whipped cream

Directions

  • For making jelly peel off the oranges
  • Mash in the strainer to get the juice
  • Heat up the water in a pan add china grass and mix well
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes add orange juice, food colour and sugar
  • Cook on high flame for 5 minutes switch off the flame and let it cool
  • Pour it in your favourite bowl and keep it in the fridge to set
  • For making cake add butter curd vanilla essence and green food colour and mix them well
  • Add sugar and blend with hand blender
  • Sieve the flour with baking powder and baking soda and a pinch of flour
  • Fold the flour until well combined
  • If becomes thick then add some milk
  • Grease the cake tin dust the flour and pour the mixture
  • Keep it in the preheated oven at 180 degree for half an hour
  • Let the cake be cooled
  • Remove the jelly from the fridge
  • Place the jelly on the center of the cake and decorate the sides with whipped cream
  • Now your jelly cake is ready to eat
