  • 2 cups vanpayar(red beans)

  • 500 gms jaggery(sarkkara)

  • 3 cups coconut milk

  • 1 tsp cardamom(elakka) powder

  • 1/2 cups rice powder

  • 1 pinch salt to taste


  • Melt jaggery ,get its finest content and pour it to a bowl
  • Wash the red beans and cook it in the pressure cooker by adding a pinch of salt
  • Take second milk in a bowl
  • Add half cup rice powder in it and mix well
  • Cook it
  • Add melted finest jaggery and cooked red beans to it
  • When it boil add first coconut milk and cardamom powder
  • Mix it well
  • On its second boil,turn off the stove and keep it aside and pour it to a bowl
