Tear some bread and toast them with 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter. We need about 2 cups of bread pieces.
Take a rectangular baking dish (7×7)", place 1 cup of cornflakes at the bottom of the dish.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of dessicated coconut and mixed nuts and raisins.
Now spread the toasted bread to make a layer.
Next again spread 1 cup of cornflakes, followed by dessicated coconut, mixed nuts and raisins.
Now heat 1/2 litre of milk along with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence.
Let the milk boil and add in 2 tablespoon of condensed milk. Cook in medium low heat until the milk thickens a little.
Add sugar if you like. I didn't add sugar as I like them less sweet to taste. Remove from heat.
Pour this flavourd, little thick milk(warm) over the cornflakes-bread filled baking dish.
The warm milk should fully cover the cornflakes-bread layers.
Preheat oven at 170 degree C for 10 minutes.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 30 minutes.
In the meantime, take 1 cup of cold heavy cream and whip with electrical beater until they form soft peak.
Keep the whipped cream in the refrigerator again.
After 30 minutes of baking, take out the dish from oven and remove the foil.
Spoon the prepared whipped cream at the top and spread lightly to make a thick layer of cream.
Sprinkle some mixed nuts and raisins. I also sprinkle some toasted bread crumbs.
Again bake the dish for 10 to 12 minutes or until the top layer becomes golden brown.
Delicious om ali dessert is ready now. When the dish become cools down, cut in individual pieces and place to serving dish.
Spoon some whipped cream and serve to your family and friends.
