Sweet Potato Lancha

  • 2 sweet potato boiled

  • 2 tbsp maida for binding

  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

  • For sugar syrup: 1 cup water and 1 1 /2 cup sugar

  • 2 to 4 cashew nuts for garnishing


  • Boiled potato in cooker for 1 whistle. Once it is done. Cool it. Transfer to a bowl. Peel the skin of the potatoes and mashed it.
  • Add maida, sugar, milk powder and green cardamkm.
  • Mix....well. Knead a smooth dough
  • From the mixture make into lsncha shape and keep aside
  • Heat oil or ghee in kadai. Once the oil is hot. Deep fry the lancha till it become brown in colour.
  • For sugar syrup : In a non stick pan. Add water and sugar. Boil it till the sugar dissolves. Once it is done. Keep asode
  • Dip the lancha in sugar syrup for 3 minutes. After wards transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with chopped cashew nuts.
  • Now it is Ready to serve
