Preheat oven to 350 deg f.
Grease a loaf pan with butter and dust it with flour. Keep aside.
Blend all wet ingredients except bananas to a smooth puree.
Gently mix mashed bananas with the wet ingredients.
Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Mix nuts with flour.
Add flour mixture to wet ingredients and fold gently in one direction (not vigorously).
Pour batter in prepared loaf pan. Smoothen it out.
Bake in oven for 1 hour or until wooden skewer pierced in bread comes out clean.
Remove from oven and cool thoroughly.
Slice the bread with serrated knife.
Serve with butter or chocolate sauce.
