Ingredients

  • · Aval / Poha / Flatten rice – 1 cup

  • · Water as needed

  • · Jaggery – ¾ cup

  • · Ghee – 2 tsp

  • · Grated coconut – ½ cup

  • · Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp

  • · Cashews – 5

  • · Raisins – 5

  • · Nuts (optional) almonds and pistachios – 3 chopped

Directions

    · Take poha in a bowl, wash and soak it in water for 10 minutes. · Drain the excess water and set aside. · Heat ghee in a pan add in cashews and raisins, fry till it turns golden. · In a bowl add Aval, jaggery, nuts, cardamom powder, cashews, raisins. Make a quick mix. Then add grated coconut and mix well. · Sweet Aval / sweet poha is ready to serve as a dessert or snack.
