Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1 block/400g paneer


  • 2 tbsp gram/chickpea flour


  • 2 tbsp tapioca/cornflour/rice flour


  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour


  • 1 tsp ajwain (carom seeds)


  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder


  • 1 tsp amchur powder


  • 1 tsp onion powder (optional)


  • 1-1/4 tsp pink salt or to taste


  • 2 tbsp Green Chutney/Cilantro Pesto (recipe shared previously)


  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil

Directions

  • Cut paneer in long finger like shapes (not too slim).
  • Give paneer slits without cutting through and through. With a thin knife, apply chutney/pesto inside the slits.
  • In a bowl, combine all flours, ajwain, cumin powder, onion powder, paprika, amchur powder, and salt to taste. Mix well.
  • Add little water at a time to make a smooth consistency of batter (not too thick or thin).
  • Season paneer with salt.
  • Dip paneer in batter and place them in a well oiled plate.
  • Preheat air fryer at 375 deg and set time for 10 minutes.
  • Dab oil on tray. Place the paneer on the tray. Drizzle oil over them. Put the tray in air fryer.
  • Grill the panner till machine beeps to turn the pakodas. Flip them. Apply oil to this side too.
  • Put tray back in air fryer and continue grilling till done.
  • Serve with chutney or ketchup.
