Take mackerel fish and make slashes on it. Add turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt, lemon juice, rub the masala well on the fish.
Keep the fish marinated while you make the green masala paste.
In a blender cup add the coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger, garlic, onion, green chillies and blend them into a fine smooth paste.
Transfer the masala in a bowl, add mustard oil and mix well.
Apply half of the green masala paste over the fish nicely including the slashes. Let it stand for 5-10 minutes.
In a grill pan heat mustard oil. Add the marinated fish in the hot pan in single layer.
Cook the fish over medium heat for 5 minutes and flip over the other side.
Apply the green masala from the remaining paste over the fish again. Flip over and cook for about 2 minutes.
Again apply the green masala the other side, flip over and cook for 2 minutes and take off the heat.
Your aromatic mouthwatering green masala fish is ready. Enjoy it as an appetizer/starter or with piping hot rice and dal or rasam.
