Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 cup card


  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste


  • 2 tbsp musturd oil


  • 1 tbsp carom seeds


  • 1 tbsp lemon juice


  • Salt to taste 1


  • 2 tbsp roasted gram flour


  • 2 tbsp dry fenugreek leaves


  • 1 tbsp red chili sauce


  • 1 cup green capsicum cut in to cubes


  • 1 cup onion cut in to quartz


  • 400 gram paneer cut in to cubes


  • 2 tbsp butter


  • 1 charoal ( koyla)


  • 1 tbsp ghee

Directions

  • In a bowl add curd,ginger garlic paste,1 tbsp mustard oil, carom seeds,1 tbsp lemon juice,salt to taste,2 tbsp roasted gram flour & dry fenugreek leaves mix all together.
  • For 2 different flavours , divide this mixture in to 2 parts.
  • In second bowl add hot red chili sauce for spicy tikka flavour.mix well.
  • Add garam masala, turmeric powder & red chili powder remaining prepared bowl (1st bowl)
  • Add capsicum, paneer & onion in half half quantity to both different flavoured bowl.
  • Combined well & refrigerate both the bowl for 15 to 30 min
  • After 15-30 min, take the marinated paneer and veggies out of the refrigerator. Take a skewer and arrange paneer, onion and peppers on a skewer, alternating with each other.
  • Heat a tawa or grilled tawa with 1 tbsp mustard oil. and spread it evenly all over.
  • When the tawa is hot enough, place the skewers and cook on medium heat.
  • Keep checking and turning them around to all sides for even grilling
  • When they turn golden, transfer them in plate.
  • Transfer 4 tikka skewers in plate. Now place 1 small katori in plate.
  • Add hot charcoal in katori.
  • add a spoon of ghee or oil on the coal. It will begin to smoke. Immediately cover the plate with bowl or lid.
  • let it sit for about a minute until the smoke has gone away. Open the lid and remove the coal cup.
  • You dish will get a smoked flavored.
  • Your smoked paneer tikka is ready to enjoy.
  • Serve with salad or green chutney
