Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • FOR PASTRY DOUGH: 1-1/4 cup flour


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1 stick (8 tbsp) very cold unsalted butter


  • 3 tbsp ice cold water ------------------------------------------------


  • FOR STUFFING: 2 cups cooked spinach


  • 1/2 cup feta cheese


  • 1/2 cup softened cream cheese


  • 1 tsp salt or to taste


  • 1 tsp black pepper powder


  • 1 tsp red chili flakes


  • 1 tsp garlic powder


  • 1 tsp dried thyme

Directions

  • FOR DOUGH: Combine flour and salt. Whisk.
  • Cut butter in small pieces and rub into the flour till it resembles breadcrumbs.
  • Add water and bind to form dough.
  • Wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes or till firm. ------------------------------
  • FOR STUFFING: Combine all ingredients mentioned under stuffing.
  • Remove dough from refrigerator. Roll out the dough in big circle and cut in circle shapes.
  • Stuff 1-1/4 teaspoon of filling in the center of the the circle. Apply water around the edges of the circle.
  • Place another circle shaped rolled dough over the stuffing and seal firmly both edges well with fork.
  • Bake in preheated oven at 375 deg F for 30-40 minutes. Flip them halfway through baking time so it's evenly colored.
  • Remove from oven and serve warm or cold.
