Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 3 handful of bitter guard leaves


  • 1/2 cup rice


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 7-8 cloves of garlic


  • 2-3 green chilli 1 inch ginger


  • 1/5 cup water


  • 1/3 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder


  • 1/3 tsp salt


  • 2 tsp mustard oil

Directions

  • Wash and soak the rice for 1 hour.
  • Then grind them along with cumin seeds, garlic, chilli, ginger and water to make a smooth batter .
  • Then wash as no chop the bitter guard leaves. But I didn't chop them as I didn't have much leaves.
  • Then mix 3-4 tsp of batter along with salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder.
  • Heat a tawa and put oil in it. Then spread the leaves over it like dosa.
  • Cook in low flame till both the sides become golden brown in colour and become crispy. Then switch off the flame. Now your Kalara patra bhaja is ready. Serve hot.
