Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1. Paneer/Cottage Cheese— 250 grams cubed


  • 2. Onions — 1 roughly chopped


  • 3. Spinach — 2 cups roughly chopped


  • 4. Curd / Yogurt — 2 tablespoon


  • 5. Ginger Garlic Paste — 1 tablespoon


  • 6. Coriander Leaves — 2 tablespoon


  • 7. Tomato — 1 roughly chopped


  • 8. Kasoori Methi /Dried Fenugreek Leaf — 1 teaspoon


  • 9. Cumin Seeds — 1 teaspoon


  • 10. Cloves — 3–4


  • 11. Black Pepper corns — 3–4


  • 12. Cinnamon Stick — 1 inch


  • 13. Turmeric Powder — 1 teaspoon


  • 14. Red Chili Powder — 1 1/2 tablespoon


  • 15. Garam Masala — 1 tablespoon


  • 16. Coriander Cumin Powder — 1 1/2 tablespoon


  • 17. Salt — according to taste


  • 18. Water — 1/2 cup


  • 19. Oil — 1 tablespoon 2 tablespoon

Directions

  • Here are all the ingredients.
  • Here are all the seasonings.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan/wok on medium.
  • Add roughly chopped onion and saute for a minute.
  • Add roughly chopped tomato and ginger garlic paste, saute them for 2 minutes. Keep the flame on medium.
  • Add roughly chopped spinach and coriander leaf, mix and saute for 2 minutes or till the greens get cooked nicely.
  • The mixture is ready now, take out the mixture in a plate/bowl and let it cool down completely.
  •  Once the mixture cools down, make the fine paste out of it and keep it side.
  • Heat 2 tablespoon of oil in a wok/pan (here I am using same pan), add cumin seeds, cloves, black peppercorn and cinnamon stick. Let all the whole spices crackle.
  • Add the spinach mixture and let it cook for 2–3 minutes or till its color turns little darker.
  • Add the seasonings along with salt and mix well. Cook them till mixture starts separating oil. Keep the flame on medium.
  • Turn the flame on low and add curd/yogurt, mix well the curd/yogurt in the mixture and let it cook for 2 minutes on low flame.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water, coverand cook for 2 minutes. You can adjust water according to your taste.
  • Add cubed paneer/ cottage cheese, coat well in the sauce, cover and let it simmer for 5 minutes on medium-low flame. Note: You can fry the paneer / cottage cheese slightly or as per your taste.
  • Add dried fenugreek leaf/ kasoori methi, mix well and let it simmer for 5 minutes on medium-low flame.
  • Serve hot and enjoy with your favorite naan / rice/ roti.
