Ingredients

Serves 2

  • fresh fenugreek leave or methi 1 cups

  • chopped onion .5 cups

  • chopped tomato 1 nos

  • garlic cloves 4 nos

  • dal water 2 cups

  • sesame seed oil 2 tsp

  • salt to taste pinch

  • pepper powder to taste pinch

Directions

    1.Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion, garlic and sauté until onions turn translucent

  • 02

    2.Add the tomatoes and cook for a few more minutes

    3.Now add cleaned and chopped methi leaves and sauté until the greens wilt

  • 04

    4.Add 2 cups of diluted dal water, salt and simmer for 15 minutes. You can also pressure cook for one whistle

    5.Blend half of the quantity and then add this to the rest of the soup and simmer for another 15 minutes. Add pepper powder to taste.
