Ingredients

Serves : 12
  • 1 1/2 cups dough : maida


  • 4 tbsp semolina


  • 1 pinch salt


  • 2 tbsp ghee


  • 1/2 tbsp baking powder


  • 1/2 cups coconut filling: 3 cups coconut (grated)


  • 1 tbsp khoya/mawa


  • 1 tbsp cardamon powder


  • 1 tbsp ghee


  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds


  • 3/4 cups sugar

Directions

  • Bind dough using warm milk and cover it with damp kitchen towel
  • Braise coconut with the rest till all sugar melted in it n nice aroma arises, let it cool down
  • Make pingpong balls of the dough then roll them and fill a tablespoon or more with coconut mixture
  • Then seal it, shape of half moon, when all done cover with damp kitchen towel
  • Shallow fry in ghee or oil on low or medium flame till nice creamish color
