Ingredients

Serves : 8
  • 1 cups moongdal soaked for an hour


  • 1 1/2 cups chopped palak


  • 4 nos tomato


  • 5 nos green chilly


  • 1 inch ginger


  • 1/4 cups oil


  • 1 tsp jeera


  • 1/2 tsp hing


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala


  • 1 tsp kasuri methi


  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander


  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

Directions

  • Coarsely grind dal in mixer grinder while grinding add 2 green chilly
  • Take out this paste in a mixing bowl and add chopped palak,salt and soda in it and mix it
  • In non stick pan heat 2 tbsp oil
  • Make small tikki of dal and palak paste and put it in pan and cook it golden brown from both side
  • Grind tomato,green chilly and ginger to a fine paste
  • Heat one spoon oil in kadahi and add hing and jeera in it,as it turns brown add all the masalas in it and fry for a minute than add grinded tomato in it and cook it till oil separate
  • Add one spoon grinded moong dal paste in it and cook it for a while
  • Add water to make gravy adjust the consistency
  • Add salt in it and cooked tikki in it and let it simmer for 10 minutes
  • Garnish it with chopped green coriander
