Radish Leaves Saag

  • 250 gm Radish

  • 1 kg radish leaves

  • 2 tomato

  • 1 tsp carom seeds

  • 1 tsp ginger paste

  • 2 green chilly paste

  • 1 tsp or to taste salt

  • 1/2 tsp or to taste red chilly powder

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 2 tsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp mango powder

  • 1 lemon juice

  • 1/8 tsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp mustard oil


  • Chopped the tomatoes
  • Chopped radish leaves and wash them in running water. Then soaked in 2 glass of water for 15 minutes
  • Peel off the radish and chopped in round shape. Wash with water. Keep aside.
  • On high flame, add radish leaves in the pressure cooker add half glass of water, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and sugar. Close the lid and apply a whistle and do the flame on medium. Switch off the gas, by putting 2 whistle
  • When cooker's pressure is released, sieve the radish, leaves and hot water. Now pour normal water on it. Put the leaves on the palm and press it and extracts the extra water
  • Heat oil in a wok on medium flame. Mix carom seeds. Now combine radish and leaves . Mix well, stir for a minute. Now combine all ingredients . Saute.
  • Stir continuously and cook for 3-4 minutes on low flame.
  • Finally add tomato mix well and cook for a minute. Switch off the gas. Now add lemon juice and pour in serving bowl. Enjoy!!
