Deseed Gooseberry. Grind it with green chilli in a blender.
In a kadai add sesame oil add mustard, Fenugreek and red chilli. Let mustard and Fenugreek splutter.
Add curry leaves asafoetida and immediately add the ground gooseberry mixture to avoid hing burning.
Add turmeric Powder, salt and saute it for a minute or two till raw smell goes away.
Add cooked rice and mix. Tasty and healthy gooseberry ( amla ) rice is ready to serve.
Serve it with any fried item of your choice.
