Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 3-4 cups spinach washed and chopped


  • 4-8 tsp finely chopped garlic


  • 1/2 cups curd


  • 1/2 cups chana dal flour


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1-2 tsp red chilli powder


  • 3-4 nos whole red chillies


  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida


  • 1 cups green peas


  • 3-4 tsp oil

Directions

  • Boil spinach and green peas in Little water until tender
  • In a mixing bowl ,add curd and chana dal flour and prepare a lump free mixture, add some water also as per requirement
  • Add this chana dal flour and Curd mixture to Boiled Spinach And Greenpeas, add little water of required and cook consistently , to avoid sticking from bottom
  • Add little dry spices and salt to taste ,add cook some more time
  • In a separate pan , prepare tadka , heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil , crackle Mustard seeds , add chopped garlic, whole red chillies , some turmeric powder, red chilli powder and Asafoetida also . Make a strong flavourful tadka
  • Add this tadka immediately to Cooked Sabji and cover it
  • Delicious flavourful Lasooni Matar Palak bhaji is ready to serve . This is a Traditional Maharashtrian Recipe and my childhood favourite too .i used to relish it with steamed rice . Typically it is served with Bhakari (jowar / bajra/ ragi roti) phulka or rice . Very healthy and two in one dish , can be served as side dish , as dal or as Sabji .
