Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 250 gms spinach


  • 500 gms chicken


  • 3 tbsp onion garlic ginger paste


  • 5-6 nos cashew nut


  • 1 tsp poppy seeds


  • 2 nos tomato


  • 3 tbsp oil


  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp cumin powder


  • 20 gms butter


  • 2 tsp salt


  • 1/2 cups cream


  • 1 inch cinnamon stick


  • 1 nos bay leaf


  • 3-4 nos cardamom


  • 3-4 nos cloves

Directions

  • boil spinach leaves for 2 mins
  • take it out and put it in cold water
  • make a rough paste
  • in a pan take oil and add bay leaf,cinnamon stick,cardamom and clove and sauté for 1 min
  • add onion,ginger garlic paste and cook for 2 min
  • add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,salt and chicken
  • cover and cook well for 10 mins
  • add tomato purée,coriander powder,cumin powder and cook again covered for 10 mins
  • now add the cashew nut and poppy seed paste and mix well till oil separates and the chicken is cooked 80%
  • now add the spinach purée and mix everything well
  • add 1 cup water for right consistency
  • cook for another 5 mins
  • add cream and butter and mix well
  • serve hot
