Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 2 cups spinach


  • 8-10 nos paneer cubes


  • 1 nos black cardamom


  • 1-5 nos cloves


  • 4-5 nos black pepper corns


  • 1 nos bay leaf


  • 1 nos cinnamon stick


  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 2 nos green chillis


  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder


  • 1/4 tsp garam masala


  • 1 nos tomato


  • 1 tbsp ghee or mustard oil

Directions

  • Clean soft spinach leaves. Leaves shouldn’t be chopped small. In this particular recipe spinach leaves are kept little big and final sabzi is with gravy as its eaten with rice
  • Take a wok Add ghee Add cumin seeds When they crackle add all whole spices and stir till fragrant
  • Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder Add chopped tomatoes Let them be mushy a bit
  • Add chopped spinach leaves and cover so that they get cooked and be tender.
  • Add little water too to make the gravy. Once spinach is cooked well add paneer cubes and cook again so that everything gets incorporated well.
  • Sprinkle garam masala when its done and serve with steamed rice
