Pluck,chopped and wash the bathua leaves in running water. Wash also urad dal with water.
In a cooker add 1 tsp ghee.add 1/2 tsp cumin seed and crackled. Add urad dal,bathua leaves,salt,garam masala powder and mix well. Cover the lid and cook for 3-4 whistles.off the flame.
In a tadka pan heat remaining ghee.add hing,remaining cumin seeds,chopped ginger-garlic-green chilli,red chilli powder and dry whole red chilli. Crackled. Open the lid of cooker and add prepared tadka into saagpaita. Mix and serve hot with rice or roti.
