Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1+½ cup methi leaves


  • 1 cup spinach leaves


  • 2 tsp fennel seeds


  • 1 tsp cumin powder


  • 1 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1 tsp garam masala


  • 2 green chilli


  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder


  • 1 bay leaf


  • 3 cloves


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 2 tsp mustard seeds


  • 2 tsp cream


  • 60 gram paneer


  • 1/4 tsp hing


  • 1 tsp or as per taste salt


  • 1 tsp sugar


  • 1 tsp kasuri methi

Directions

  • Wash methi and spinach leaves properly. In a large vessel, keep enough water to boil. Add leaves and blanch it for 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove it from hot water and pour cold water over it to prevent it from loosing green color
  • In a mixer jar, take leaves along with green chilli and make a paste.
  • In a kadhaai, add oil, cumin seeds and hing. Now add bay leaf and saute it for a while.
  • Add ginger powder, garam masala and fennel seeds powder and turmeric powder
  • Now add crushed green paste. Add salt, sugar and little water and let it simmer.
  • Let it cook for 6-8 minutes. Now add paneer cubes. You can add plain or fried paneer cubes.
  • Add cream and kasuri methi at last.
  • Methi chaman is ready to serve.
