Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 250 gms - Refined Flour


  • 15gms - Yeast


  • 55gms - Powdered Sugar


  • 55gms - Butter


  • 75ml - Milk


  • 1/4tsp - Vanilla Essence


  • 5gm - Salt


  • 2cup - Oil


  • For dressing - 1/4cup - Powderd Sugar


  • 3-4tbsp - Cinnamon's Powder

Directions

  • To make a dough, on a flat surface make a well of flour. Add yeast, sugar, vanilla essence.
  • Using milk make dough till get a smooth surface.
  • Cream the butter and salt and rub it into the dough. Allow it to prove for 40 mins.
  • Once the dough has risen, place it on a flat surface and knead lightly. Divide it in half, keeping half the dough covered, so it doesn’t form a skin.
  • With a rolling pin, roll out half of the dough to about 1/2″ thickness. Cut with a round, sharp cookie cutter (about 3″ diameter) then make the holes with a smaller cookie cutter (about 1″ diameter), saving the holes. Place each doughnut on a butter paper.
  • Cover it with moist cloth and place in the oven or hot place so that it rise doubled in size.
  • Heat oil and fry them. Our doughnuts are ready. Dressed as you like.
