Jaggery and Roasted Chana Dal Ladoo

  • 1 cup chana dal

  • 3/4 cup jaggery

  • 1 tablespoon water


  • Take a karahi or a pan,heat the stove on low flame. Add one tablespoon of water, then add jaggery. Let the jaggery melt on low flame. Stir in between.
  • After the jaggery is melted completely, carefully (as its hot),take little jaggery in hand and check ladoo shape can be formed. If it forms time to add chana dal in karahi. And if doesn't forms ladoo shape again check after 2 to 3 and stir it continuously now. Do it on low flame only.
  • Then add chana dal in karahi. Mix properly. Switch off the heat. Quickly start making ladoo by applying 2 to 3 drops of water on palm as it's hot. This process is to be done carefully if mixture cools down jaggery will turn hard and again you have to heat on low flame.
  • After ladoo cools down down it will form nicely.
  • Both the ingredients are very good for health and tasty also.
