Coconut Laddu With Date Palm Jaggery In Bengali Style


This is bengali style coconut ladoo made with date palm and jaggery. In posh sankranti we made this ladoo

  • 2 Cup Fresh Grated Coconut

  • 1/2 Cup Date Palm Liquid Jaggery

  • 4 tbsp Roasted Sesame Seeds

  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder

  • 1 Pinch of Salt


  • First grate the coconut. Once it is done. Keep aside.
  • Heat kadai. When the kadai is hot. Dry roast the coconut for about 10 minutes in low flame Cook till the moisture evaporate
  • Once it is done. Add date palm jaggery.. Mix,.......well. Add cardamom powder and saute until the mixture leaves the sides of the Kasai and it becomes dry to handle the laddu
  • Transfer the naru mixture to the plate and let it to cool down slightly.
  • while the mixture is still warm. Grease our palms a bit with ghee
  • Take small amount of the mixture and with help of two palms, roll into a small size balls. Dip in the roasted sesame seeds.
  • If the naru looks a bit wet and soft. These will harden soon
  • Once it is done. Transfer to a beautiful bowl. Sprinkle with roasted sesame seeds.
  • Now it is Ready to serve
